The
heritage of the rolling mill, and it's building
is long and interesting, going back to it's origin in 1864
there has been a rolling mill on the site since
that date and parts of the current building are still original
in it's construction. |
Once
a water powered mill (the water wheel still adorns the
building, although not used since 1957) it has been brought
up to date with equipment capable of rolling
the most difficult materials currently in use.
In addition we are commonly working with development trials for
other proprietary manufacturers to develop materials of their
design which are new to the industry and still
in the development stage. Due to the flexibility of the works,
and the fact that quantity is not a major restricting factor we
can work with projects of this nature comfortably. |
|
January 2003 saw the
introduction of a second 10" cross country
rolling mill being introduced into the works
which will complement the efficiency and throughput
of the works capacity where required.
We specialise in the smaller end of the size
range market (see attached
list of size capabilities) and our fundamental mission
is to offer a quality rolled product irrespective of
quantity considerations. We are; in fact, quite capable
of rolling "single" bars for customers if
desired, such is our level of flexibility.
Service and quality are of paramount importance to us
and to our customers. We believe that direct communication
between our customers and ourselves is essential to
instill confidence and promote business.
